Cameron Cohen has been an artist since birth.  Cameron received a BA in Art Studio, with an emphasis in painting, at UC Santa Barbara. It was there that she developed the fundamental understanding of perspective and masterful use of color. Cameron’s skill of depicting people as her subject matter awakened when she trained in live model figure painting in Florence, Italy.

Cameron is inspired by Salvador Dali and Renee Margritte for their approach to surrealism, Larry Pittman for his attention to detail, and Liza Lou for her installations. She is deeply interested in science, energetics (science of energy), sacred geometry, metaphysics and spirituality and how they affect the human condition.

Cameron’s current technique is fluid acrylic pour on canvas. She utilizes an array of colors with negative space to create abstract paintings.  In her portrait silhouette series, she shows the energy within the individual as well as the energy that represents the aura of the subject.
